Growing up, my dad respected my mom fully and as a young man, I adopted that behaviour. My best friend however is different. He has a girlfriend and treats her like trash and for some reason, she stays. I spoke to him about it and he got angry and told me to leave it alone. I have known him from kindergarten so he's like my brother. I am afraid that if I say anything again, we will end up in an argument or even fight and never speak again but I can't sit back and watch him treat the young lady like she is nothing.

Honestly seek help for her and try and get him to a counselor because it will get worse.

Try to get her the respect she deserves, if she wants it. I doubt she'll get it from him.

Either knock some sense into him or help her leave. Continue to stand up for her!
